im pretty pissed because i wrote all this out already and my computer froze and deleted it all.. arrrg.. this is my problem. im married, my wife and i do not live together WE ARE NOT LEGALLY SEPARATED OR DIVORCED yet. We havent even begun the proceedings.. We got married feb. 09 and I left her may 09. We have no children together thank god! About a month ago my wife vandalized my car to the point it will not run. the damage is $9500. I turned all the evidence I had implicationg my wife into 2 police departments. I had pictures of the car, the estimate for repairs needed, and i even had a recording of a conversation I had with some folks who WITNESSED my wife vandalizing my car and both police departments said that they could do NOTHING about it.. They said it doesnt matter if i had the car before the marriage, it doesnt matter if her names not on the title, we are still married. It is hers as much as it is mine.. Fast forward to last nite. Im not typing out all the crap I typed out earlier as to the circumstances of why I chose to do this but I came to the decision last nite to take HER car. I have the key, Ive always had the key and I took it. Now.. going back to what she did to my car.. The police said they couldnt do anything about it because it is her car too.. So why did the police tell me today that the car is reported stolen and If im caught driving it i will go to jail?? What the hell? Is it possible the police officer told me that in hopes id just bring her the car back and restore the peace? So he doesnt have to be bothered with nonsense like this?? I understand in divorce court me taking her car may look bad but im not worried about that… screw that.. i NEED to know about the legal side of things! If she could get away with destroying my car, how is it that i cannot take her car?? I even have her TITLE! Is there anything I can do with the title like add my name onto it? Whats messed up is I dont have a car, Iost my job because of it.. I hear shes getting a new car and fearing that she would trade the car I took from her last nite in for the new car I made the decision last nite to take it because I know once she buys a new car she will not put it in her name therefore in divorce court this new car shes getting will not even be an issue because it isnt in her name.. So I took the car because I have to survive too! She has 100’s of ways to get around town, to work, hell some idiot is buying her this NEW car… I have NOTHING! Nada, Zip, ziltch.. I need lots of input because I dont plan on giving her this car back until i get my own car or the divorce judge orders me to give it back to her.. Please read this carefully, 2-3 times if u have to because i need help. I just dont understand how she can walk all over me and not get in a lick of trouble and i take her car and all the sudden i can be facing jailtime blah blah blah..

Need a MISSOURI Attorney concerning real estate, Please read?
Small Town, County Seat in Missouri
I was divorced in 2000. My divorce papers read:
The parties have agreed that the real property shall become the property of the husband subject to the indebtness theron, with the following exception. Should the property be sold by the husband, then wife shall be entitled to one half the equity. Otherwise, husband shall have in place estate planning which will cause (my sons name) to become owner of the property upon his death.
Nowhere in papers does it say I will quit claim, and I remained on deed, mortgage and insurance until about 3 years ago, when he managed to get this refinanced by recording these divorce papers.
He first had tried to refinance using my name as well, and I got wind of it, and stopped it. But he found another company and achieved it.
I have seen a couple attorneys, who after reading my divorce papers, said I should sue the attorney who wrote them.
I have learned recently that he has set up something that causes his new wife to inherit the property/house. Is he not in contempt of court doing this?
The kicker to all this, is that the attorney who wrote this was our attorney. I was told when these papers were done, it would tie him up so that he couldn’t do anything without me. The attorney is also the prosecuting attorney.
This property is worth probably $200K. I didn’t receive one dime from it when we divorced as I thought that at some point I would get my half.
If anyone knows an attorney that would sue another attorney, or tell me how I can put a property lien on it, or get him for contempt, I would gladly appreciate it.
I would let an attorney have 50% of a settlement. I have learned it doesn’t pay to be fair, and try to do the right thing.
Thanks

Can I get an annulment?
I am a resident of NH and my husband is a resident of Maine. We were married in his hometown state of TN on April 9, 2008. Because of his felony record we cannot live together because of my job. Also, he was diagnosed with Klinefelter Syndrome which leaves him with no sexual desire. Can I get an annulment? What state should I file in? Is there a time limit? My goal is to do this inexpensively and no public record of divorce or annulment in my county

Divorces. public record in IL?
Are divorces public record in IL?
If so how much about them?
Where would a person look for the information on one if they are? Could it be found on line in the county it happened at? Do you have to look into the county the marriage happened at?

Hong Kong Marriage?
My younger brother married his filipina sweetheart in Hong Kong last year while vacationing there. After the wedding she returned to Philippines and he to the USA to start immigration paperwork. Now they decide not to remain married. She has second thoughts about leaving her family. No forms have been filed with US Immigration and neither were residents of HK so where does he/she file for divorce? Does the US recognize this marriage since no license has been recorded in the county clerks office?

Is it possible in NC to have and keep kids after a child abuse charge?
My girlfriend has had a felony child abuse charge on her record and is nearing the end of her probation for it. I love her very much and have been with her for a long time and want to be able to start a family with her. The charge came about when she left the room to go to the bathroom and one of her sons hit the other drawing blood, a small scratch mind you, but blood all the same. She had completed all court ordered therapy and classes for reunification with her sons and husband but the county decided to force divorce and to not allow her to reunify with her sons. I want to marry her and have children but she is afraid that they will be taken again. Can anyone help me with this?
She has already done all court ordered counseling and psychological evals and passed with great marks. In fact she has done them twice once for the court and a second time for herself to have extra proof.

What is the correct LEGAL term to apply here: Modification or Clarificationof a prior agreement?
This would be a Marriage Settlement Agreement (MSA) in the state of Illinois. The original MSA stipulates visitation every other weekend…but does not define whether those would be the odd or even numbered weekends on a: 1) yearly 52 week calendar’ or a 2) monthly calendar (some months having 4 weeks, others having 5) — a FORMULA FOR CONFUSION unless spelled out better in an amending document.
To clarify the arrangement, a modification or amendment of the original MSA is needed so as to specify which weekends are every other weekend.
In a petition to the court of record (County Court), what would the correct name for said plea be called? A Modification, Clarification, Amendment, or something else, as it pertains to the original MSA contract?
Note this would not be something challenged by either party so I’m hoping there would be no need for either party to appear in court. This is a matter of bookkeeping and clarification which we hope to keep to a minimum using self help pro se measures to clean up the loosey-goosey language used in the boilerplate document applied by a sloppy (or purposefully vague) high volume divorce attorney 8 years ago.
Whats the correct term for the petition or motion?

Do people still get away with bigamy?
I’m not talking about polygamists here. I’m talking about people who leave one spouse but never get legally divorced, then marry another person.
Since county clerks have computerized records now, wouldn’t they be able to look up this information whenever someone files for a marriage license and see that they are already married?
Bonus Question: Can someone get a credit card or utilities in a name that is not legally theirs? Like, if my sister is using her boyfriend’s last name, but *claiming* they are not married (because she’s still married to her ex–the ex says so) can she actually do it on legal agreements like credit cards and utilities?

How long do judgments placed in Texas remain in effect?
My ex-husband and I bought a home in 1987 we divorced in 1989 and I signed a quit claim deed to the home over to him. In 1995 a collection agency tried to collect from me because my ex was foreclosed on. A judgment was filed in April of 1995 in a county court. How long will this remain on my record?
